When to Winterize
- When shutting down the pool during winter months
- When AOP will be exposed to freezing temperatures
- When draining the pool
How to Winterize
If mounted below water level, bypass valves must ALL be CLOSED to prevent excess water from draining through the unit.
- Drain the pool
- Open the enclosure door.
- Locate the 1” NPT drain plug and remove to drain the remaining water.
- Water will drain through holes in the bottom of the unit.
- A connection could also be made at the 1” NPT drain to run water away from the unit.
How to Winterize
- Allow all the water to fully drain before threading the plug back into the plumbing.
- Clean any excess water that may have collected in the bottom of the unit.
