Does the water supply line to the waterfall have to be filtered?

YES! All CMP waterfalls should ONLY use filtered water. The water line to the waterfall must be filtered. 

Operating with unfiltered water will degrade the water flow performance and could permanently affect the waterfall. Waterfalls damaged by unfiltered water are not warrantable.

We recommend the CMP Water Feature Filteror other cartridge filter.

NOTE: If a waterfall is already being affected by debris, refer to the FAQ titled, “My waterfall has ‘breaks’ in the sheeting.”
