CMP Continues Growth Spurt by Acquiring SGS Chlorinators of Tempe, Arizona
We did it again! CMP completed a second important purchase with the acquisition of Saline Generating Systems, LLC (SGS), based out of Tempe, Arizona. Adding SGS chlorine generators, including the popular Breeze system, to the CMP product offering increases our ability to provide customers with complete sanitizer systems.
CMP recently expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of DEL Ozone®, maker of ozone and ultraviolet (UV) sanitizer products for pools, hot tubs, and industrial applications. As with DEL Ozone®, the addition of chlorine-generating systems allows CMP to provide customers a more comprehensive line of water sanitizer products, and opens up new resources for SGS.
“As a leading manufacturer in the pool and spa industry, CMP is committed to making products that help keep the modern pool and spa safer and smarter,” states Vic Walker, CMP Product Design & Marketing Manager. “Providing systems and solutions for advanced water quality and safety in the industry is a top priority at CMP. The SGS acquisition enhances that capability for us and continues our focus on pool and spa sanitizers,” he adds. “We’ve been hanging on to this idea of traditional pool water sanitization involving heavy chemical use for too long. It’s time to start embracing modern pool and spa sanitizer systems.”
One more milestone for CMP and another exciting chapter for SGS, this acquisition is the next step forward for CMP in becoming a leader in the recreational water sanitizer market.
SGS Chlorinators is based out of Tempe, Arizona and was founded in 2007. The success of the company’s commercial salt chlorine generators led to the development of high performance residential sanitizer systems using the same proven platform and technology. All SGS Chlorination systems are standard UL 1081 certified by NSF or MET Laboratories, and the Breeze, SG Series and Storm systems have all met NSF/ANSI 50 certification.
