How to Install Inline JetArray® Start to Finish – Part 2

This post is Part Two in a walk through of the complete installation of a CMP Inline JetArray® system on a pool remodel. Read Part One

The JetArray® Inline is an exclusive product from CMP that revolutionizes in ground spa installation and performance. Protected by three U.S. Patents, this professional systems speeds up the installation time for multiple jets and creates even water flow distribution. The design prevents under-performing jets by utilizing a pressurized chamber that can perform with significantly less water flow. The JetArray® Inline can operate four jets simultaneously at only 10 gallons per minute.

PART 2: JETARRAY® INLINE PLUMBING & SPA COMPLETION

JetArray® Layout Overview

The spa now has the complete plumbing installed. The JetArray® InLine units can be installed horizontally or vertically and can be interconnected in a variety of configurations. The complete spa design has one full body therapy seat, and two vertical layout seats on either side. Unlike most in ground spas, this jet layout can actually provide a true hot tub experience, similar to what consumers are used to in a portable spa.

Calf & Footwell Interconnected Jets Close Up

CONNECT A JETARRAY® IN ANY CONFIGURATION

Below we can see two JetArray® InLine boxes interconnected to each other, a calf jet on the front face of the bench and a foot jet installed flat on the floor. A great advantage of installing in any orientation; the exact same product can be used for every setup!

Looking closely, notice that the air line is connected into the jets between the top set Inline units and the two lower units. There is no true “up” or “down” configuration. The pressurized box pulls air in volumes of air no matter how the jets are installed. As long as air-to-air and water-to-water connections are maintained, everything just works . . .vertically, horizontally and flat in the floor all inside the same hot tub.

ADJUST THE PIPE LENGTH FOR A PERFECT FIT

Since we left off in the last post, you can also see that extensions have been added to each jet port line. These ports can be extended up to 24″ or reduced to 3″ without affecting the operation on the Inline unit at all. This makes setting up plumbing in a variety of configurations much easier.

ANOTHER VIEW OF THE PLUMBING SETUP

Below is one more view of the completed JetArray® plumbing. Note: Because this project is using existing pool equipment, a pressure header is installed in front of the equipment for plumbing inspection. To the right of the image the original plumbing for the pool has been re-routed and will be added into the spa structure.

Completed “Shotcrete”

At this point the shotcrete is completed in the new attached spa. The JetPorts® remain protruding at this point with the protective cap in place to keep the lines clear.

Tile and Finishing Work

This spa was added to an existing pool and is sharing the pool equipment. The spa will be isolated and brought to temperature as needed with a 400,000 btu natural gas heater. Because the JetArray® Inline operates on only 10 GPM for 4 JetPorts®, this spa did not require large plumbing or an equipment upgrade for full force operation of the spa.

The spa tile is installed and the spa is now prepped for interior finishing work.

EXTERIOR COMPLETION

The grout for the brick coping is in place. The next step will be to prepare the interior of the spa for the final finish.

INTERIOR FINISHING

The JetArray® InLine requires no additional parts so the prep work is minimal. Once the JetPorts® are cut flush with the interior finish, press fit insider fittings ‘beauty rings’ will be installed in the desired color.
